The producers haven’t commented as to why and neither has she.
Okay, one of two things is going on here. Usually, when an actor quits a hit show, they have a line on a movie career. I am 100% certain that that is NOT what is in play here. For one thing Batwoman is not a hit and for another nobody is beating down Ruby Rose’s door. She only sells to the Tumblrina crowd.
One possibility is that Rose has jumped ship before it sinks. Sensible thing to do. Batwoman is going to get an encore season despite the horrible ratings because CW doesn’t want to deal with the SJW backlash from canceling it, (that is how Agent Carter got a second season). But that is all Batwoman is going to get. After that Rose is toxic to casting directors despite whatever feminist credentials you might get from hiring her. It looks better when you jump ship from a successful (which is to say renewed) series.
The other is that Rose is actually leaving for health reasons. She literally broke her neck during production and had a rough recovery. She may have decided (rightfully) that she isn’t cut out for action and she isn’t. She just isn’t, she doesn’t have the conscious proprioception and it doesn’t look like it would it hurt if she punched you.
However, she has sent up a few smoke signals indicating this is not the case.
“Doing a network drama is one of the hardest acting jobs, and not everyone is well equipped to handle the intensity and long hours involved. I hear Rose, whose most extensive previous TV gig was a nine-episode arc on Orange Is the New Black, was not happy, and the show’s team was not happy to a point where no one could see this going for another season. It was not a good fit, and the studio and the star opted to part ways.”
The producers say they are going to recast but I wouldn’t be surprised if Warner Brothers just pulls the plug. It’s not like it was a ratings monster and now they have a perfect excuse to nuke it now.
All of which leaves the question; what will I hate watch now?

Between this, Arrow ending, Crisis on Infinite Earths being over and done, and Corona-Chan stopping the production of all the CW’s shows, one can hope the Arrowverse will finally crawl away and die soon enough.
What do you think of the theory that RR was actually sent away for being an unstable b***h? After all, even if she wanted to leave, it can’t be easy to rescind a title character contract – those things usually cover five or six seasons.

I find it hilarious that not only can 90-pound women not beat up men, they can’t even pretend to beat up men without injuring themselves.

One thing that SJWs ignore, among a host of other things, is that in past movies, even men were shown not being able to take out far bigger guys. The airfield scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark is a perfect example.

One thing I loved about older stories with teams of heroes was having the big guy on the team fight an opposing big guy. Like Mr T with the A-team or the Thing with Fantastic Four. These days you get shows like Agents of Shield where Ming-Na Wen at 5’4″ and 125 lbs is the best fighter and Henry Simmons at 6’4″ and 250 lbs won’t get matched up against an enemy bruiser because Wen has to do it.

One thing I really didn’t like about the Avengers movies is how they turned Black Widow into more of an action chick/fighter when brought a lot to the team as a spy. In Iron Man 2, flawed movie that it was, Widow was primarily an infiltrator in Stark’s business. The whole ‘beating up a bunch of guards’ was a bit much. Her best contributions were in the form of trickery and manipulation, like conning Loki into revealing his plan in the first Avengers movie.
What really put me off was when she was tied to the chair and broke out, beating up all the mobsters: the whole action sequence was pointless, since it was established via the phone call that SHIELD was monitoring them and probably had the whole gang in snipers’ cross-hairs while she got them to spill the beans. She didn’t need to beat anybody up.
That scene would have been a lot better if it had ended with Widow quickly untying herself or cutting the knots, getting up and sauntering out of there while the SHIELD agents and snipers took the mobsters into custody.

Caveat: I make an exception for characters like River from Firefly, because she’s basically magic: they don’t even make the attempt to give her character badass cred by showing elaborate training sequences like with RR. The disparity between River and the men she takes out is so great it’s obvious she’s some kind of enhanced human, and it’s not without a price: it’s clear the enhancement has come at a terrible cost to her mind and psyche.
