Pushing ahead with the confirmation has risks to be sure BUT it does something critically important.
It sucks the air out of “Trumps poor response to Covid-19.” Biden’s entire campaign has been built around it.
Now Trump’s response was fine given what he knew at the time and frankly it was better than a lot of the state and local panicky idiocy.
However, elections are decided by the middle and the Trump campaign was in the unenviable position of having to Explain Sciencey Things to Dumb-Fucks.
Now the entire campaign comes down to big picture basics. What kind of America do you REALLY want?
And that is something the far Left doesn’t dare explain in plain terms.
